Reliability Engineering Certification
An REC confirms you are proficient in reliability engineering and asset management practices, enabling you to build and manage programs consistent with ISO 55000 Asset Management standards. Be better equipped to reduce risk and increase the value that assets deliver across their life cycle to an organization.
Who this program is for
The REC is for people responsible for improving asset and capacity reliability, loss elimination, decreasing repetitive failures, building sustainable condition and risk-based maintenance programs, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
To earn certification, candidates must complete four required courses and submit a capstone work product deliverable
- Risk-Based Asset Management
- Root Cause Analysis
- Reliability Engineering Excellence
- Predictive Maintenance Strategy
What kinds of results have been achieved through this program?
- 60% reduction in downtime on a critical production line
- Eliminated recurring failures
- A 30% reduction in unplanned downtime
- Increased OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) on a critical unloader system by 1.5% – equaling over $1,000,000 annually
- $210,000 annual savings by implementing design modifications recommended in the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) process for a system
Graduate Testimonies
“The REC Work Product drives the practices and teaches the tools to identify problems in many areas of manufacturing. Not only are the tools beneficial in driving best maintenance practices but are useful in the Continuous Improvement Process and Lean Manufacturing.”
“I feel that the REC program will make us a better company. Being an automotive supplier, everything is already very competitive. Any step we take to get more productivity, improved OEE, and better use of our resources only strengthens our position.”
Maintenance Management Certification
The Maintenance Management Certification (MMC) prepares you to lead a world-class maintenance department. Learn best practices and techniques to drive work execution, improve productivity, motivate staff and cultivate a proactive, problem-solving culture.

To earn a Maintenance Management Certification, candidates must complete four courses (two required, two electives) and successfully pass the MMC online exam:
- Maintenance Management Skills (required)
- Managing Planning and Scheduling (required)
- Risk-Based Asset Management
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Predictive Maintenance Strategies
- Root Cause Analysis
- MRO Materials Management
What kinds of results have been achieved through this program?
- Decreased downtime from increased equipment reliability
- Increased availability and productivity
- Cost savings from proactive maintenance
- Improved safety and regulatory compliance
Graduate Testimonies
I started as a Maintenance Technician. Once I got my MMC credential, I pursued a promotion to Maintenance Manager, and have been able to implement programs saving my company over $7M.
Excellent program. LCI has the best training experience, consistently over the four courses in the certification.
Planning and Scheduling Certification
The Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Certification (PSC) teaches practical skills to increase value to your organization. Learn how to build a solid maintenance planning and scheduling program, manage shutdowns and outages more effectively, improve storeroom interactions, and optimize CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) data.
Who this program is for
The PSC is designed for industrial professionals responsible for building and sustaining a world-class maintenance management program. This includes planners, schedulers, outage managers, maintenance managers, production supervisors and reliability technicians.
To earn a Planning and Scheduling Certification, candidates must complete four required courses and successfully pass the PSC online exam:
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Managing Planning and Scheduling
- Planning for Shutdowns, Turnarounds and Outages
- MRO Materials Management
What kinds of results have been achieved through this program?
- Improve current work management efficiency by >30% by using best practices from work identification through closeout
- Embrace data stewardship, develop and evangelize CMMS/EAMS data management practices
- Develop and manage a team of work planners/schedulers
- Understand how digital transformation and smart manufacturing are changing the landscape of the profession
