Doing the right thing, the right way.

When you’re doing something for the right reasons, it seems to come easier.

It’s why our core values are built on the foundation, “Do the right thing, the right way.” Those words aren’t just lip service – our cofounder Jim Fei used it as the guiding light for the Life Cycle Engineering team.

It’s the reason we’ve invested in our ohana, or ‘family’ – both within our organization and within our communities. Our employee-owned business means that this is more than just a job. Nothing we do is transactional, and no task happens in isolation. We don’t believe in success without helping people reach their potential.

Since 1976, our team has been providing engineering solutions and reliability consulting services that deliver lasting results for private industry, public entities, government organizations and the military. We’ve also been focused on building a great place to work.

Discover the organizations and causes we're proud to support in the communities we call home:

American Red Cross Blood drives

Our LCE offices hold regular blood drives – open to employees and the local community – that support the Red Cross and offer support to those in need.

Grilling for good

Our Norfolk office hosts an annual “Steak out” to kick off our “Stuff the Bus” campaign, collecting school supplies to support our local community.

Did you know 40% of LCE’s employees are veterans? We're not only prioritizing veteran hiring, but also ensuring they have a clear path to a successful, long-term career with us. Learn more about HIRE Vets.

Every year, our employees participate in our company-wide movement challenge, featuring teams like the Holy Walkamolies and the Fast Feet Fleet!

Trident United Way Fundraising

Our Charleston office hosts an annual holiday brunch to raise funds, and employees have the opportunity to donate directly through payroll supporting the local One80 Place.

Sea Perch Competition

A yearly event where middle school and high school teams compete against each other using underwater vehicles. It’s rewarding for us to Judge and a good learning experience for the teens.

Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition (PCDC)

We host HackWarz®, a team-based ethical hacking competition for students interested in computer science and systems. Learn more about HackWarz®.

Life Cycle Engineering partners with the U.S. Department of Defense for the SkillBridge program, supporting active duty service members in their transition to civilian life by offering hands-on training in IT, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity.

Bremerton and Honolulu Food Banks

Our offices actively contribute to supporting local food banks by regularly donating food and money. Our donations help provide essential resources to those in need within our community, ensuring that individuals and families have access to nutritious food during challenging times.

Honesty and integrity in everything we do.

We’re committed to fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their unique perspectives to the table. Dealing honestly and fairly with others and doing our best to make the right choices helps us achieve our business goals and maintain a great working environment. We want our team members to thrive because of the environment we’ve created, not despite it.

We believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our employees volunteer their time and resources to support a variety of causes that align with our values.

The Heart of Our Workplace Culture

At LCE, we are dedicated to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity and fosters equity, inclusion, and belonging. Our leadership team, Inclusion & Diversity group, in collaboration with the Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG), is instrumental in championing these principles under our mantra of “Do the Right Thing, The Right Way”

The mission of the LCE VERG is to serve as a strategic partner in cultivating a culture of diversity and inclusion through continuous learning. This group is dedicated to advancing the understanding and inclusion of employees with similar backgrounds, interests, and goals, while aligning its vision, mission, goals, and activities with those of LCE. The VERG serves as a valuable mechanism for various initiatives, including assisting in the referral and hiring of veteran employees, offering support to veteran family members and friends, establishing programs aligned with LCE’s goals, providing recognition and support for employee growth, and aiding managers in finding innovative solutions to challenges. Through shared experiences and a commitment to professional development, the LCE VERG creates a supportive community for veteran employees, ultimately contributing to the success of our clients, community, and company as a whole.
